Sharon Martin is a native of Southern Ontario. After teaching a few years at Countryside Christian School, she paused her teaching career to earn a Bachelor of Science in English and History Education. She then taught in Nappanee, Indiana, for five years before returning to her home community and resuming her career at Countryside. In recent years, she has completed a Master of Arts in Education from Cairn University and has added some administrative duties to her classroom teaching responsibilities. She cares deeply about finding and using a variety of classroom methods that require her students to increase their level of cognitive work and engagement. When she is not working or researching, she enjoys hosting friends and family in her home in Kitchener, Ontario, and is grateful to be a part of the church community at Faith Mennonite Church.
