Short Term Studies Between Fall and Spring Semesters

We offer two short terms to augment our two-year programs. In both short terms, Faith Builders seeks to orient and equip people for a lifetime of serving God and the church.

Whether you are a teacher looking to learn during the summer months or you want to take some time to study, deepen your faith, and connect, these short terms are filled with quality, Christ-centered teaching.

Summer Term starts at the end of June and concludes at the end of July. Our Winter Term starts with the new year and runs through the month of January. Winter Term focuses on the study of Christian ministry, Bible, music, and theology, while Summer Term focuses more topics related to education and teaching.

We welcome you to snowy Guys Mills for the first five weeks of your year! We offer a selection of courses focused on Bible, theology, Kingdom living, and music.

Winter Term serves a wide variety of students, from young people seeking spiritual growth and practical tools to seasoned pastors seeking refreshment and encouragement. Strengthen your focus and deepen your calling through study and connection. Winter Term is a place to pause and connect with the community of FB staff and fellow students with their diverse life experiences and skills.

Some Winter Term courses stretch through all five weeks of Winter Term. Others run the first three weeks or the last two weeks of the term. Students may attend for all five, the first three, or the last two weeks of term. Students typically take 6-8 credit hours, or 2-3 courses.

Summer Term

As you anticipate your summer break, consider spending part of it learning and growing with us. For five weeks in July, we offer courses designed to prepare and equip teachers in K-12 settings.

Hone your craft through the disciplined study of the craft of teaching or history, math, or child development. Good teachers are lifetime learners, and Faith Builders provides a place to develop and learn alongside others. During Summer Term, you will have the opportunity to learn with new and experienced teachers. Your instructors have years of field experience and are often available outside of class for continued discussions.

Increasing competence and grace in teaching is an investment. Many schools and churches are encouraging this effort by offering financial support to teachers attending Summer Term at Faith Builders.
Students typically take 6-8 credit hours or 2-3 courses.

Mealtimes are about much more than calories!
