Life Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6

Dallas Penner was born in St. Clements, Ontario, and the only one of his family born in Canada. His family moved to the Waterloo region in Ontario from Mexico. Growing up as a third culture kid impacted how he sees the world and even more so when his family moved to Nicaragua for three years when he was eleven. After graduating high school from Countryside Christian School, Dallas came back to teach in the elementary grades for four years.

Maria (Groff) Penner was born and raised in Bird in Hand, Pennsylvania, on her family’s produce farm. She graduated from Faith Mennonite High School and joined the staff team at Weavertown Mennonite School as Teacher’s Aide for three years before moving to Ontario.

Dallas and Maria first met at Faith Builders Summer Term 2021 and married in the summer of 2023. They lived in Canada for a year before moving to Guys Mills. Dallas is currently in communications with Faith Builders and Maria enjoys helping part time at Millstone Market and being involved in the community.

Together they enjoy being with people, listening to good stories, creating art, travelling, and looking for wildlife in nature. They desire to love others as Christ does and to allow God to use them however, He leads.
