Life verses: Psalm 46:10

The youngest of six brothers, Myron Brubacher was born in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada and lived nearby on a small hobby farm most of his childhood. After graduating from high school, Myron worked at his church’s school (Glad Tidings Christian School) as the first and second grade teacher for four years before taking two years away from teaching in 2014-2016 to complete the Teacher Apprenticing Program at Faith Builders. Following graduation from Faith Builders, he returned to teaching at Glad Tidings, serving four more years as the first and second grade teacher before transitioning to four years of teaching grades five to seven. He also earned his B.S. from Liberty University in Elementary Education Interdisciplinary Studies during this time.

Growing up in a community-minded and mission-focused family helped Myron develop a passion for serving others. Whether it was listening in to conversations with neighbours who dropped by to chat with his mom, observing his dad’s many hours of meetings and travel serving as a board member for Christian Aid Ministries, or traveling with his parents on multi-month mission trips (Liberia and Haiti), Myron learned through life experiences about the importance of living for others. A highlight for eight summers, between school terms, was working at a Subway restaurant in a nearby tourist town, where he made many friends with the customers and coworkers. He also enjoys getting involved in local community events whenever possible. Today, Myron enjoys a diverse collection of friends from all age groups and various backgrounds. His goal is that everyone who interacts with him will feel the love of God flowing through him.
