Life verses: Isaiah 50:4a, Isaiah 42:3a, Proverbs 20:5

Lynell (Nolt) Nissley was born and raised in New Holland, PA. A formative experience in her childhood was watching her younger brother live with significant ADHD, and she developed a passion for helping struggling students. She spent 4 years tutoring at Pleasant Valley Mennonite School before pursuing higher education. She graduated from Faith Builders’ TAP program in 2010, from Liberty University in 2012, and from Eastern University with her Masters in School Psychology in 2015, seasons in which she also tutored at Shalom Mennonite School and with some homeschool students. Since then, she has worked as a school psychologist among the Anabaptist schools in the Lancaster area, and she is also involved in FB’s Learning Support Institute (LSI) as a mentor/instructor and secondary program developer.

In 2015, one month before graduation, Lynell took a road trip to Georgia with unexpected consequences. She met a good friend’s brother, and the rest is a story-filled history. In September 2016, JD & Lynell got married, and they have since welcomed 3 children–Hailey, Liam, and Lexi. Over the last 3 years, Lynell has been on extended family leave from her school psychology work, as the Littles took precedence. LSI provided flexible work during this gap, and plans are to resume some school psychology work in the fall of 2025, as the two oldest children will be in school.
