Crista Bontrager was born and raised in Indiana. She studied elementary and music education at Grace College and earned an M.S. in special education from Western Governors University.

Crista began her teaching career in Virginia and has taught across the grades at Woodlawn Christian School, where she is now principal. She taught at Faith Builders Christian School for two years and worked as an Intervention Specialist and Clinical Supervisor for children with disabilities in Idaho for five years.

Crista enjoys reading, music, outdoor activities, and traveling. She desires to reflect God’s love and peace to others while working alongside the church to build strong school communities that meet students’ needs and prepare students to go into the world equipped to participate in God’s work.
