Teaching Elementary Music

This course provides an overview of key philosophies and methods in general music education. Students will design lesson plans and assessments with clearly defined objectives and appropriate scaffolding, teach peers, and engage in reflective practice. The course also introduces methods for elementary choral rehearsal, skill development, and programming philosophies. Throughout the semester, students will build resource banks to support their future teaching practice.
