Teaching Diverse Learners

This course is designed to equip teachers with a basic understanding of learning disabilities and practical strategies for meeting academic and behavioral needs in the classroom. Developing an understanding of the learning process will provide context for problem-solving and intervention. Methods for building attention, memory, thinking skills, self-regulation, and self-discipline will be explored. Prerequisite: Principles of Teaching or two years of classroom experience.
