Revelation

The message of Revelation needs to be heard and heeded. But it is a strange book to modern readers, and one rendered stranger by popular but misguided readings of it. This course will re-introduce students to the book, seeking to read it afresh as the culmination of the biblical storyline, as a letter to first-century churches, as an ancient Jewish apocalypse, and as God’s word calling believers of all ages to “overcome.” This is not an exhaustive exploration of the book, but will focus on key themes that illuminate Revelation and our own world.
