Arlyn Nisly grew up on the plains of Kansas. He taught at Followers of Jesus School (Brooklyn, NY) for nine years and has been the principal at Pilgrim Christian School (Hutchinson, KS) for thirteen years. He is also a pastor at Center Amish Mennonite Church.

God has blessed Arlyn and his wife, Brenda, with four children and one daughter-in-law. He finds purpose in nurturing growth in himself and others; a stretched mind, an enlarged heart, and dirt under the fingernails are to him rewarding indications of success. He finds refreshment in reading, biking, roundnet, hobby farming and gardening.
