Lonita Miller grew up in Bowmansville, PA with her parents and three siblings. She attended Union Grove Mennonite School for nine grades, and then she finished her high school education with Penn Foster Online High School. After high school, she worked at a produce stand, a tax accounting office, and a department store. In 2015, Lonita moved to Northern Youth Programs for two years as a secretary. She loved living in the north for all the outdoor activities like camping, fishing, and canoeing as well as the chance to build deep relationships with new people. On moving back to PA, Lonita worked at Pleasant Valley School as a secretary and later as a sixth-grade teacher for three years. After attending Faith Builders Summer Term in 2019, Lonita returned to Faith Builders for two years as a General Studies student graduating in 2022. Lonita finished her bachelor’s degree in psychology in Christian counseling with Liberty University Online in 2025 while working in accounting at Westfield Egg Farms. Lonita married Joseph Miller in the summer of 2025, and together they moved to Faith Builders as staff.

Lonita loves reading nearly all genres of books, collecting books, reading children’s stories to her nieces and nephews, and reading parties with friends. Hiking, picking wildflowers, kayaking, and camping are a few of the outdoor activities that she enjoys. Lonita is passionate about healthy minds, souls, and relationships, and she loves working towards those goals with people.
