Favorite Verse: Ephesians 5:8 “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”
Jacob Nisley was born and raised as a local in the Guys Mills area. His growing up experience was one of reading, daydreaming, and roaming around the outdoors. Not much changed with the coming of adulthood.
Aside from being homeschooled in 1st grade, the rest of his formal education happened at Faith Builders Christian School where he graduated in 2011. Work and service have led him into years spent at the family pallet shop/sawmill doing maintenance, participating in CAM’s Search and Rescue for four years, and spending four years at Faith Mission Home with his wife and daughters as houseparents of Redbud Cottage.
Anna (Byler) Nisley was also born locally and grew up as a farm girl, working with her father’s draft horses and reading at every opportunity. When she was ready for 3rd grade, her family left the local Amish church and she started attending FBCS, from which she graduated in 2012. She has done a variety of bookkeeping/secretary jobs including a year as FBCS secretary in 2014/15. Anna loves numbers, books, houseplants, and coffee.
Jacob and Anna were married on the Ides of March, 2014 and have two daughters: Danica and Willow. They enjoy life and adventure and exploring their part of the world together. Most of all they have seen the blessings of living a life of service to others and seek to honor God together in this way.
