Conservative Anabaptism and the Arts | January 30, 2010
Faith Builders Resource Group is planning a one-day colloquy focused on Anabaptists and the arts. This colloquy, or conversation, is structured in two sessions. The first session will focus on articulating and evaluating the current conservative Anabaptist beliefs and values regarding aesthetics as evidenced by our choices and pursuits. The second session will consider the implications of an aesthetic informed by Anabaptism for specific artistic categories. Each session will include presentations by several speakers followed by a roundtable discussion including the speakers and several other men. Not all speaker assignments are finalized, but complete details will be available in the winter newsletter.

Mennonite School Services (a division of Faith Builders Resource Group) is planning a weekend retreat for school administrators in March 2010. This retreat will provide opportunities for school administrators to develop connections with other school administrators and to grow as administrators. If you are interested in attending this retreat or wish to talk with someone about the weekend, please contact us. More information will be published in the winter newsletter and posted to the blog. This event will replace the March workshop for 2010.
Faith Builders’ new mailing address is as follows:
We will no longer receive mail at PO Box 127. Our local post office staff has agreed to forward mail addressed to “Faith Builders” even if it includes our old PO box address, but mail that has only a personal name with the PO box is subject to be returned.
Please use this mailing address for Faith Builders, and include a line “c/o Faith Builders” if addressing a letter to a student, volunteer, or staff member here.
2009-07-13 UPDATE: Mail with the PO Box 127 address will still be delivered, but it may take longer. The 28500 Guys Mills Rd address is best for personal and FBEP mail.
