Special appeal: Chad Weaver

April 9th, 2009

chad One of our Ministry Apprenticing graduates, Chad Weaver, is facing serious personal restrictions and possibly legal charges on the basis of false accusations brought by a former student at Tidings of Peace Christian School, where Chad has been ministering. We ask that you pray fervently for the Lord’s will to be done in this situation. Chad is committed to serving God wherever He leads, but his heart is in urban ministry with young people. If his appeal is unsuccessful, Chad will not be free to work in children’s ministry in the future. We also ask that you consider giving toward Chad’s legal expenses. The cost of the appeal process could total $20,000. The school board of Tidings of Peace has initiated a Chad Weaver Legal Defense Fund to meet these costs. Tax-deductible contributions may be sent to Tidings of Peace Christian School, Chad Weaver Defense Fund, 329 E Poplar St, York, PA 17403-5609, or you can make a contribution online at www.tidingsofpeace.org.

For more information, call or email our main office, or you can also contact Tidings of Peace. Contact information is listed on their website.

Thanks to these young men from Countryside Mennonite Fellowship (Ontario, Canada) for their work this past weekend! Despite the rain on Friday, they planted about 35 trees and additional greenery on campus.
