Brochure for Teachers Week

April 25th, 2008

The brochure for Teachers Week 2008 is now available! It includes schedule and fee information as well as a registration form.

We will not be mailing the brochure to our entire mailing list. We plan to mail copies to each school that sent teachers to Teachers Week in 2006 or 2007, as well as each attendee for those events in 2006 or 2007. If you did not attend in previous years but would like a copy, you may download a copy below or email or call our office to receive a copy. We’ve also posted detailed schedule and workshop information on the Teachers Week page. Please note that lodging onsite at Faith Builders is very limited. Contact information for local motels is included.

You can download the brochure here (PDF, 281 KB).

We hope to see you here in August!

Recordings of Teachers Week 2007

August 23rd, 2007

Many attendees greatly enjoyed the sessions during Teachers Week this year, held July 31-August 3.  Some of the sessions were recorded, and you have the opportunity to enjoy these sessions on audiocassette or CD.

Melvin Lehman spoke in a general session each morning on the theme of “The Teacher’s Influence in the Community.”  His four sessions were titled:

  • Defining and Finding Your Niche
  • A Vision for the Classroom
  • Building Community Relationships
  • Contributing to Community Culture

In addition, four other sessions were recorded:

  • Introduction to Learning Disabilities (Pauline Seibel)
  • Diet and Alertness: Is There a Connection? (Pauline Seibel)
  • Exercises to Develop Brain Function and Memory (Pauline Seibel)
  • Preparing for the First Days of School (Howard Bean)

These sessions are available on cassette or CD for $5.00 each, plus shipping.  PA residents will also pay 6% state sales tax.

To order, please contact Christian Learning Resource at (814) 789-4769 or clr@fbep.org.

Waiting List for Teachers Week

July 18th, 2007

We appreciate the strong interest in Teachers Week 2007.  The week-long event is limited to 175 teachers by facility accommodations.  We have now registered 175 teachers for Teachers Week.

We will continue to accept new registrations, but all registrants beyond this point will be placed on a waiting list.  As cancellations occur, we will notify those on the waiting list in the order they were received.  If you apply but you are not admitted to the event, your registration fee will be refunded.  If you have already registered but decide not to attend, your registration fee will not be refunded.

Again, additional registrations for Teachers Week will be processed, but the event is full at this point.
